So there it was, reputably the curvest road in the world, and it's all mine!
After a very frustrating ride to Julian, behind one road hog after another,
the road finally belonged to me. And I was using that up as fast as I could,
maybe a little too much but I was really having a roadster moment.
I guess I came in to that left hander a little too steep and a little too
late but I knew I had lost it. Funny, I no longer had the curve but I had
enough control to pick a soft spot to land. I was pretty lucky to have that
gravel apron, cause most of the road was a choice between hard rock or big
drop (OH NO!).
That was the first time I lost the roadster, and I feel a better driver for
it!
We had a good time. It was nice meeting Duram, his 1500 got the full
inspection from all attendees and pasted with flying colors.
It was very cool doing 100+ with Les chasing on a deserted desert highway
