These are obviously the rantings of one who has taken leave of his senses.
Just look at that
list of cars--obviously he needs professional help!
So blaspemous are some of these remarks that I suggest we may have a spy from
the Leyland
list amongst us. You sir, when you check the oil in your Datsun (if you really
have one) do
you lift the Hood or the Bonnet?
1)Elephant ears??? What did you want smaller flares that a 64? I don't think
that could be done with 60's automotive technology. Remember they hadn't
invented micro machining then!
2)Surely you can't really despise a roadster with a padded roll bar??? If so,
you had better trade in that
firebreathing 1500 on something with a J12. That 1500 is obviously making more
power than you can deal with....
3) From these comments I would have to bet Ralph Nader was also an incognito
Aussie. You aren't related to that Crocodile Hunter guy on TV are you? (or
should I call it a Tele?) Serious Looney tunes.
And You Sir, when you refer to Mr. Shelby, please use Reverend, Sir, or His
Lordship Mr. Shelby.
"A LOW SCREEN OR NO SCREEN" indeed. Isn't this the same thing?
I would suggest Mr. Bent, if that is your real name, that you say a few
prayers of forgiveness
to the Car Guys before you nod off tonight. Good Aye...

Over here when the common people (high screen owners) aren't around we refer to
the low screen cars as the "Classic models" and to the high screen cars as the
"Plastic models".
A few other points about Jim's message
1/ Those "fairly pretty fender curves" have wheel arch flares that look like a
pair of elephant ears.
2/ A "Padded roll bar" or any roll bar, doesn't look great on anything. A roll
bar looks like what it is, a bunch of pipes welded together. If you are that
interested in safety, and black plastic dashes, you might find something more
your style on this site - www.volvo.com
3/ Roadsters look "goofy" if you take the side strips off.
4/ "It sceams 'Catch me if you can...' ". No, it screams "Ralph Nader and
Carroll Shelby attacked my car".
One car magazine over here summed up the looks of the high screen car
perfectly, " A sports car for giraffes".
"A LOW SCREEN OR NO SCREEN"
