I'm definitely no guru,  but I purchased two sets of pads for my 69 at a
local parts shop (not a national chain).  They cost $14 a set.  I have had
some success just looking for the oldest shop around, the ones that NEVER
rotate their stock, and asking for misc. common motor and brake parts.
