Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has a list of must carry items for the Roadster
traveler. Nothing beats a well prepared car for a road trip but when you are
on the road you never know when something can fail. Otherwise, I have a few
items that I will add to get started.
A set of spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, points, condensor, 2 quarts of
motor oil, a quart of tranny fluid, a can of fix-a-flat, fire extinguisher,
duct tape, one gallon of water, tools, rags...
... and of course a cell phone, suntan lotion, etc.
There are a few other necessities that I know I forgot to add. If you have
some suggestions please let me know so that I can add it to the webpage.
If anyone would like to send me a quick pre-roadtrip checklist I will check
it out and consider it for publication on the site too.
And finally, if anyone would like to suggest any great drives that should be
experienced in a Roadster please let me know and I will try to add that in
somewhere on the site.
So far I have accumulated close to twenty different roadside contacts across
the U.S. So far we have towing capabilities, an emergency spare parts
network, machine shops and welding, overnight couchs and refreshments and
conversation. But most of all we have a closer knit community of Datsun
owners.
Datsun owners... the best people on earth!
