Nope, the more popular the car, the wider the supply chain will be.
That is why you still can buy virtually everything you need to restore
a Mustang.
There are alot of reproduction parts made because there is a market to
support it.

Actually that is almost totally incorrect. There are very very few parts that
are
correct for a roadster and still used on a Z or 510. Points,clutch, disc,
regulator, etc
come to mind. Not even a starter,water pump, or fuel pump, or carb. Sure, you
can
rig some stuff, but beyond that there is actually very little.
