I installed my cables when I had a new cloth top installed. Stan told
me that they were not needed and just added bulk when the top was folded.
I pulled the cables out and found that they didn't help with the window
sealing, and removing them helped the top to fold better.
Another thing that I want to do is remove the velcroed flaps that cover the
top frame above the doors. While it makes the interior look beter, I find
that they get in the way when you are folding the top, keeping it from dropping
down inside the rear area. I am thinking serioulsy about cutting them off, but
haven't yet.
