Probably either the A-series (Datsun A, not BMC A series) or the BMC
licensed copy you refered to. The L-13 was never in US cars, but I have
heard of some Canadian L-13 equiped cars, so it's within the realm of
possibility.
The company and the dealer organization was a lot more casual 30-35 years
ago. As I may have mentioned previously, at least through the mid '70's,
there was a local Hawaiian company that handled importing Datsuns in the
Islands. At least through the 510 there were some, relatively small,
equipment differences relative to Mainland cars. There may well have been
a seperate Canadian importer, too, that brought in L-13 powered cars and
trucks. Times, not to forget developing emissions laws, were somewhat
different. It's easy to forget.
