I also converted to 12mm studs, but for the added strength. I installed
steel inserts in my '81 ZXturbo wheels so I can use the same tapered seat
lugnuts on both my street wheels and my autocross wheels. Sure beats buying
those darn $5 apiece Nissan lugnuts!
