Rick,

Around the late 1970s I owned 2 big Healleys a 1959 100-6 (BN6 ?) and a
1967 BJ7 3000 Both cars are beautiful, I like the earlier side curtain
cars as they are cleaner designs. Both have big powerful engines which
makes up for (or causes) their heavy feeling and poor handling. Something
about the sitting position with my legs straight out and harsh ride made
them uncomfortable for long drives.

I bought mine because I was upwardly mobile and moving from a TR3 to the
Healeys seemed like a natural. I gave up just as the price was going up,
so I got my money back which may be the only car that I ever did. My next
car was a TR6 and while not quite the classic the Healey was it was just as
fast and much more comfortable.

Both of my cars were stock, except the BJ7 had a Koni tube shock conversion
and the 100-6 had later wire wheels wider wheels.

Fred
