I've seen wear so bad you could have someone in the car depressing the 
clutch pedal and watch the crank pulley move back and forth upwards of 
1/4 inch! Beyond that, though, the xxxUE low compression 1296 isn't as 
bad a slug as one might think. I agree, though, it's not my first choice 
from that whole family of engines.

I, too, think that the asking price is a bit high. Last year, I struggled 
to finally sell a 1974 1500 in generally similar condition for half that 
price. As always, YMMV.
