13" wheels

Dear SOLers,
I am sick and tired of having untrue wheels on my '71 Midget. I think a 
plausible step would be now to go and get some new ones from M$SS or 
VickyBrit. At least they should be true. 
My question:
I heard that aluminum alloys like the mini-lite style wheels aren't that 
much more $$ than stock steel (rostyle) wheels.
Is that true? Did anybody make some experiences with getting alloy wheels 
by mail order (e.g.)?
Of course I'd like to find the best deal, too.
