While silicone does not strip paint (it's even used in some car waxes)
it is extremely difficult to remove silicone residue form painted or
bare metal surfaces.  This residue can cause newly applied paint to
fisheye.  I would be as careful with silicone brake fluid as with
ethylene glycol fluid with regard to the paint on your car; i.e., avoid
contact.  This is not a hassle you want to deal with if you ever have
your car repainted or damage repaired.
