Michel... This is exactly what happened when my float sunk... I had gas streaming out the charcoal canister on the MGB (which is connected to the overflow port(s) on the carb(s) It could also be some crud keeping the needle valve open. You have to open up the float chamber and flush the valve (and clean out the float bowl). John M.
