Read your note and went out to the shop to check my, well, my nuts. I've
got a whole box of leftovers, and with my new (old) lathe I can probably
make 3 for you (Why would a guy need 3 nuts anyway? ;-)
Here's what I have:
- 3/4" hex head 1/2" high, flat top, shank = 0.625" x 0.8" long 3/8" thread,
- 3/4" hex head 1/2" high dome top, shank = 0.55" x 1.35" long 3/8" thread
Both are intended to have a fat steel washer under the head to spread
the load over the Al wheel face. I assume yours are not tapered seat
style, but rather use the shank and face for fixing?
What's your shank diameter? (If that's not too personal, I mean we were
talking about your nuts...) If you give me your dimensions I can spin
these up on the weekend and post them on Monday.
>My last resort is my machine shop, for which he will charge $50 for 20 lug
>nuts!
I'll take a $10 donation to the disk fund c/o Fat Chance garage!
