DON'T DO IT, OH PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!
Ok I'm calmed down now.
My dad had one and it was the worst designed car he ever had.
The gearshift was in the dashboard and was so vague you couldn't always tell
what gear you were in.
The brake adjusters were so tiny they broke off.
But the most ridicule-inviting design fault was that the front fenders cover
the upper half of the tires, such that when you steer left or right the tires
rub on the fenders, a glaring example of the styling department overruling the
engineering department and functionality.
Metros were made from 1955 to 62 and ours was a 62, so one would think they
could have worked out the bugs by the end of the production.
But no-o-o-o.
They're cute and cuddly, but they belong in a museum along with that
corporation's other (cough, cough) gems, the Rambler, Gremlin, Hornet, and
Pacer.
JMHO, of course.
