Dear Judith,

They are cute.  I had one for a few months many years ago, a chartreuse 54
convertible with a dark green top.  Cute, peppy, but 50's vintage
american style handling, as I remember. 

There's a place called, I think, Metropolitans Forever, that I dimly
recall seeing advertised in Hemmings.  I suspect mechanical parts would be
relatively easy to come by, since they are mostly taken from other cars
parts bins.  I think it would be a practical driver, but I would lots
rather have an MGBGT with chrome bumpers.  There is a red one for sale in
town now, and I have to force myself not to stop and check it out.  It has
new, bright red paint, and I always distrust new, bright red paint on any
used car, especially a 20+ year old one...
