Dear British car lovers,
Some days ago I bought a 71 MG Midget and I am really excited about it. So
I was eager to get it running again after having been standing for some
years in a barn.
... As I went on to check the ignition I found the weirdest settings that
I can't explain: The spark plugs were not the recommended (Haynes) NY9 or
so. The gap was a different, too. The points were at a different dwell,
too.
What should I trust? I didn't find any sticker under the hood that could
have helped.
Can somebody please mail me the correct specs for the car?
