Someone asks about setting valves with as little cranking as possible. It's the Rule of Nine for a four cylinder, the Rule of THirteen for a Six. For example on a 4 cylinder is #1 is open (the spring fully compressed) then you set #8. If #4 is open set #5. Get it? It adds up to nine. For a six you want it to add up to thirteen. Whatever you have to add to the number value of the open valve to get 13 is the valve you adjust. Hope that's clear. Chris |
