Call me crazy, call me sick, call me stupid, but I did it.

I bought the 1929 Triumph Super Seven Deluxe. So far in my research I
have been able to determine that there were several body styles. This
one is a 4 seater convertable. There is also a 2 seater roadster, and a
4 seater sedan.

The interior has been redone in vinal and it is not clear if the seats
are origonal. The front end is also missing lots of parts. The
headlights have been replaced with fender mounted lights that appear to
be off a ford tractor and the side marker lights are missing altogether.
The pictures I have found show a bar running between the fenders just
infront of the grill that should hold the headlights and horn. I am
also missing this bar, the horn was in a box of parts. According to the
VTR there were 3 Super Sevens in the US in 1987. I am sending for more
upto date info.

There are lots of other details that need to be checked and fixed if
incorect. The other 2 main mysteries are the controls that should be in
the center of the steering wheel and the battery placement. The center
hub of the steering wheel has markings for distributor advance, and
headlight switching but none of this is connected and the switch appears
to be missing. The battery is under the drivers seat in a home made
battery box.

The origonal registration book indicates that it is chasis # 13295, I
have not been able to find this number anywhere on the car.

I have learned that it is not the oldest Triumph in the US but may be
the second oldest. I'll have to wait and see what the VTR says.

Any information leading to the complete restoration of this fine example
of Triumph history is much appriciated.
