It turns out that the Moss tube-shock conversion is only good for tires
up to 195/60, so my 205/60's would not fit. So says Moss. In fact, they
were alarmed that I was running 205/60's all the way around. Which makes
me wonder:
How are the rest of my TR6 brethren shod?
Got back my trailing-arm from the shop. It had about a 1" crack straight
through a thin-walled part at a location that smelled like fatigue. I had
it stop-drilled and welded up; hope this is good enough. I haven't heard
of chronic problems with these parts, but I was royally unimpressed with
the quality of the castings.
It should all come together this weekend!
(How many times have a I said that!!)
