After posting this, I got on the phone with Moss Motors to see if they
had any suggestions on how to get the info I wanted. The guy got a MGA Tuning
Guide and tried to cross reference the part number to another type of British
Car. No luck, the number didn't correspond to anything they stock for any car.
He then suggested that I speak with John Twist at University Motors, in
Michigan.

I called John and he advised against the 9:1 pistons. He mentioned that he
sells
a technical manual that goes over lots of this stuff, including the specs for
about 40 different cams. I ordered the book, so I'll see if it gives me any
insight as to what to do.

I could leave it just vanilla, but since I'm spending all of this time and
money,
I'd rather spend a little more and reap the benefits of my labo(u)r.
