Marcus, I'm surprised at you!  This is sexist and insensitive, not to
mentioned politically incorrect.  Okay, okay, I won't mentioned the time
I got lambasted for calling my wife "un-mechanical".  BTW, it wasn't my
wife doing the lambasting.  She agreed 100%.

I think the politically correct term would be "mechanically
challenged".



regarding the discussion of parts for a 25 yr. old car..., I believe
the reason is that the customs duty on antique car parts is about
half of that for current cars.


regarding the discussion whether to oil bolts prior to torqueing
them down.  Definitely use lubricant, otherwise you will get a
false torque value.


Roland, I agree, get a stanley or matco or snap-on dead-blow hammer,
the 4lb size costs about $40 and is one the most used tools for
working on lbcs.  I have a 1 lb and a 4 lb size and they are REAL
useful.
