I haven't a clue where the outside mirrors (if any) were normally
mounted on a '63 'B, but let me suggest that you do NOT mounted them on
the fenders. I've owned two Brit cars with fender mounted mirrors and
found them extremely annoying. With mirrors mounted that far forward I
found that at night the headlights of trailing cars got reflected back
into you face. This was not only a pain, but probably somewhat unsafe.

My snake mirrors are not mounded on the doors but they are far enough
back so that night reflections aren't a problem. I would say just in
front of the doors about even with the windshield is a good spot if
there is enough room and the view isn't obstructed. Door mounted
mirrors sometimes tend to get jarred out of adjustment from slamming the
doors.
