I've got a standard iron block british engine (new 'T' series, derivative of
the
old 'N' in MGB's), with (I believe) alloy core-plugs. Has anyone had the
experience
of the core-plugs leaking or dis-intergrating for no apparent reason?
I've had two of these two litre engines now, the first needed all it's
core-plugs
replacing after three years, and the latest is under two years old and is
leaking
already. Both cars were/are serviced by the dealer, both have never frozen,
both
have the recommended anti-freeze (I believe) in them. Both cars live on the
driveway
at night, and do about 15K (miles) a year.
Any suggestions as to what the hell I could be doing wrong, how I can prevent
this?
