Fellow fiends:
There I was, minding my own business reading a blurb sent to me by the
M***A Club of America (yes, I also own a faux LBC, tho I rather consider it
to be a neo-neveau LBC) and they mentioned the hardening of "old" rubber
that can occur in only 18 months time. So... are the tires I have up in
the garage rafters, that have been up there for 26 months no good? What
gives? Why arent the tires that have been on my car for 26 months no good?
Sorry, I realize this isn't exactly strictly LBC stuff, but maybe someone
has a comment, as many of us (probably) keep more than one set of tires
for their cars (autox/commute sort of thing).
Any tire/polymer chemists out there able to comment on this?
