I run a set of Lucas tripods on my TR4A. I noticed today that the
inside surface of the glass has accumulated a film - it looks like some
sort of condensate. I tried heating one of them by laying it on top of
the oil-filled radiator that heats my garage, but it did no good. I can
wipe it off with a rag, but I can't get a rag down there very effectively.

Anyone know a good way of cleaning this? I've thought of various
solvents, but I don't want to damage the reflector (does anyone know if
it's coated or just polished) and would want something that will flash
off completely (lacquer thinner and alcohol come to mind).

I'm also willing to try higher temps; at the risk of bringing up the
halogen bulb discussion again, does anyone know what a reasonable
operating temperature for such a headlamp is (i.e., a safe bet to set the oven)?
