Christopher Ball asked whether batteries die when left on concrete floors.
I'm not a chemist, but I've heard that this is true. You see, when a
battery is sitting on the concrete floor of a garage for some time, it is
often a significant distance from an electrical outlet and out of the
owner's immediate view. These two factors combine to ensure that the
battery never gets charged, and thus suffers accordingly.
Are you in the Toronto Triumph Club? There were lots of people at the
meetings we went to so I was surprised that I've never heard anyone
talking about it on this list. Somebody should mention the list (and
places like io.org) it in the newsletter. Is it true that Brits and Pieces
has shut down? I guess it's too late to check on some of my old back orders?
