MGB OIL PRESSURE

All this talk of flucuating oil pressure gages
and low and high oil levels, slow return from
head to sump has me so concerned that I almost
walked to work this am rather than risk throw-
ing a bearing. My B sometimes gets two qts low
on oil, and yes, the gage does jump around.
When stopped at a light, the pressure sometimes
falls to almost zero. Yet, the car keeps ticking.
But, at the other end of the spectrum, it rarely
sees 4k on the tach. This is not a race car. It
is my daily commute.

So, why are you guys running such high rpms?
Scott #1, time to jump into another expose'.
Where do the torque curve and the horsepower
curve peak, relevent to each other, for a stock
1800 engine? Does raising the horespower output
necessitate raising the rpm? It seems to me that
if it were possible to raise hp but not rpm, the
engine would last longer.

I'm not sure about warrenty, but they will rebuild them. They can even do 
custom valving, like if the standard model can't be adjusted stiff enough 
for you, or you want to change the rebound rates...

And, for someone who asked, Koni has 2 main lines, regular and sport. 
Some are adjustable on the car, depending on the car and shock model.
