*** I don't know about spridgets, but my `58 MGA has Lockheed brakes.
It's been running silicone brake fluid for the past, umm, 7 years
without incident.
I think the manufacturers of DOT5 fluid add a seal swell chemical
to it. In fact, Roland once posted an article suggesting that this
was one of the problems with the early DOT5 fluids: the manufacturers
were putting in too much seal swell stuff.
