The Morris' brakes are going to come apart soon, mostly to switch from
drum to disk brakes. I have a pair of Lockheed calipers, and figured
I'd rebuild them as well as the rear slaves, replace all the hoses, and
flush the pipes.
This made me think that it might be a good time to switch over to
silicone brake fluid. But I remember that some "early" brakes use a
type of rubber which needs to be swelled by the brake fluid, which
silicone won't do.
Has anyone converted an early Spridget with Lockheed disks to silicone?
How did it go?
Thanks.
