TeriAnn--If you want paint removed easily, you might want to consider plastic
media blasting. This is similar to sandblasting, but it will not damage glass
and plastic parts, so you don't have to strip your car to have it done. Also,
the plastic leaves a residue behind on the metal that keeps it from rusting,
so you can wait almost indefinitely before priming. With sandblasting it would
have to be primed immediately to keep surface rust from starting. Not sure
where you would find a shop though..perhaps under "Paint Removal" in the Yellow
Pages? A plastic media blasting firm in St. Louis is always a supporter of
British Car Days. They have pictures of their work as well as chunks of car
that they've blasted. It seems pretty impressive. There was also an article
about it in British Car magazine about a year ago.
