I had/have the same problem on my Midget and did the following :
Swap the left rear spring for the left right spring. This will give
you Midget a pronounced list to the passengers side. However as most
of the time I am the only occupant, the car sits square whenever i drive
it.
Remove both rear springs and send them to a spring shop who will re-arch/
re-temper your springs - at this point you can ask then to change the
spring so that the car sits lower. I believe the differenec between Rubber
Midget and other is the Rubber Midget has 6 leaves versus 5 leaves for
the pre-rubber Midgets, why not remove a leaf ?.
I would not buy the rear lowering block (even though they will fit the 1500
Midget), you do not need thenm, if you have the springs re-tempered/arched.
I would NOT buy a set of used springs, because they are probably not matched.
