William Hartwell Woodruff asks the eternal question:
How do they paint stripes on cars without getting an edge
due to the paint thickness of the stripe? When you look at those
CHEESEY panel vans with the mostly naked woman wielding a sword you
can't see any relief on the edges at all.
>>You don't feel an "edge" on these for two reasons;
-One is that murals are airbrushed on usually w/o
patterns, so there is no physical boundary for the
paint to build up against.
-Two is that usually multi-colored (multi-layered)
paint jobs are clear-coated afterwards which provides
a more uniform top coat. Do this several times over and
you can no longer feel the edge of the stripe.
Now, whaddya mean by "CHEESEY" ??? ;-)
