Keith's question about stripe color reminds me of a question I have. How do they paint stripes on cars without getting an edge due to the paint thickness of the stripe? When you look at those CHEESEY panel vans with the mostly naked woman wielding a sword you can't see any relief on the edges at all. It seems that if you let the paint film become so thin that it won't have 'edge', it wouldn't be the same color as other areas which are thicker. woodruff@caen.engin.umich.edu |
