Hello Network,
I have a 74 TR-6 and have recently experienced a noise from the
gearbox. When I accelerate a noise only heard in fourth gear
disappears. The noise comes back when I let off the accelerator.
When I put the clutch in it disappears again. The noise sounds
like a ratchety (is that a word) whine. I think the problem is
excessive backlash in that particular gear. Any other ideas?
