I saw a weird method to break pistons loose. Before giving up
on the TR6 slave cylinder which had been frozen for 8 years, I
tried this...
"Suspend the item in a large pot of water (don't have it resting
on the bottom) and bring the pot to boiling, wait one hour."
I couldn't understand what the hour meant, so I tried mine as
soon as it reached boiling, no change, don't know why, but I
left it on for the hour... the piston almost fell out. I just
held the hot item with mits and hit it on a wood block...
I still don't believe this actually worked, so let me know.
