October 1992 marks the 30th anniversary of the Triumph Spitfire!
It gets a lot of razzing in this list, but personally I adore mine.
Yeah, it's not eggzactly overpowered, but if you keep it in good
tune it's swift enough, and a blast to drive.
Last night on "First Flights" on the Arts & Entertainment channel
they covered the Hawker Spitfire (as in the hero of the Battle of
Britain). Unfortunately in not enough depth, but basically they
described it as a lightweight craft with an immensely powerful
Rolls-Royce engine. ...hmmm...
Um, say, anyone out there parting out a Roller? :*)
