A couple of things I thought might be useful ( and a question too! )

Notes on TR7 exhaust systems:

1. I have a Monza replacement exhaust system on my 1978 TR7 and would like to
offer to other TR7 owners that the rear muffler and the rear towing flange
try to occupy the same space. I personally find the towing flange to be more
important than the muffler ( I use the car to drag my Plymouth home
occasionally :=) ) so I have used a piece of garden hose to buffer the
flange. Looks Ok, works ok, but isn't perfect.

2. I recently installed a free-flowing exhaust header (whatever brand
Vic.Br. carries) and find that there is very little clearance between one of
the pipes and the frame/body. The pipe rattles against the car during
startup and under hard acceleration. Does anyone think that this is going
to hurt expensive parts (things other than the exhaust pipe, and the paint
on the frame). Would stiffer engine mounts prevent this, or can I even
shave the RHS engine mount a little to move things over (I imagine that this
would generally weird the alignment of a lot of parts)? The head pipe
doesn't look to be very easily bent.

On Spitfire Seats:

Does anyone know of where I can get replacement seats for a '67 MK3
spitfire (low back seats). OEM type is not necessary, just something that
fits. (And new mounts in the floor pan are reasonable, as I am going
to have to replace that too..)
