Due to repeated clogging of the fuel line/filter on
one of my TR6's I developed a method of removing the line
from the pump, blocking it, and attaching a 10 ft. piece
of fuel tubing back into the tank filler.  I assume this is
why the tank filler is in the middle and hood opens backwards.
The British, they think of everything.

The usual warnings apply, i.e. gas burns, rubber melts, sparks
ignite, etc.  On second thought this is a bad idea...

I've now had both 6's tanks boiled by a radiator place, but I
still carry the extra fuel line.
