Yes I have, and it was fairly easy. I took the exhaust manifold off the car,
and wrapped them according to the instructions that came with the exhaust wrap.
I think it would have been MUCH harder to do it with the manifold still
in the car., and probably it would not have been done as well. I used
thin baling wire to tie the ends of the wrap so that they would not come loose.
So far (4 months later), the wrap is still on, and has not unravelled, cracked,
or came loose.
If I remember correctly, you are supposed to dampen tha wrap to make it
supple, and then wrap the manifold, letting it dry naturally.
Since putting the wrap on I have noticed a difference in the amount of heat
in the engine compartment. I can now check the oil without fear of scalding
my arm every time I reach for the dipstick. Also I have noticed
that the temp of the exhaust coming out at the back is a lot higher.
Whether it has an performance increas is debatable (my main objective was to
cool the engine bay).
