My experience with TR6 parts shows the master
is aluminum and rebuilds well, given you DON'T
try to hone the aluminum, just a toothbrush
will clean it up.
The slave is cast iron and pits inside. Due to
the amount of movement, etc. it never seems to
rebuild well and is a constant problem. The
slave rebuild kit is ~10 vs. ~$45 for the whole
thing.
My suggestion is rebuild the master and buy a
new slave. Then fill the whole thing with DOT 5
silicon brake fluid. Mark the cap so you won't
mix them later.
If the midget is the same, the advice likely applies.
