Just got off the phone with Dad, a retired chemical purchasing agent. He has
not heard of Carsan specifically, but guesses from the name that it might be
a blend of Styrene Acrylo-Nitrile, put out by some outfit with "Car" in their
name. Anyway, he suggests going to the local well-stocked library and checking
a copy of the Modern Plastics Encyclopedia, an annual publication of the trade
rag by that name. See what you find out there.
