Two books that I have say to replace the leygear when doing a
rebuild. I had planned on it but I was wondering why ? Neither book
says why it needs to be replaced.
I was just planning on putting in new syncros (4), new front and rear
oil seals, mainshaft bearings, input shaft bearing and the circlip which
the books also say need to be replaced whenever the gearbox is
dismantled.
Any thinbg else I should replace in the gearbox itself ?
Obviously, I'm putting a new clutch assembly (disc, pressure plate and
release bearing).
