Logged in this evening to check the mail and had the following
come up on my today file:
Happy Birthday to...
1834 Gottleib Daimler, automobile pioneer.
--
Progress on the Daimler proceeds at a stately pace. The last few
weekend afternoons have been spent removing the interior wood trim
pieces, stripping off the cracked, yellowed varnish, then
remounting the woodwork. I'm putting off applying any finish on
the wood until I can become more familiar with what finishes are
out there and the best way to apply it.
I've been driving it around town to shake out any problems. To
date, the only worry has been sporadic, slight fuel starvation
when the tank gets low, but it hasn't yet been severe enough
cause problems. Time to check the filters...

Newton: Chickens at rest tend to stay at rest. Chickens in motion
tend to cross the road.
Riemann: The answer appears in Dirichlet's lectures.
Heisenberg: We are not sure which side of the road the chicken was on,
but it was moving very fast.
Goethe: The eternal hen-principle made it do it.
