   WOODRUFF KEYS
On taking my TR2's crank to the machine shop, I tried to get the woodruff
keys off the end of the crank. I wanted to get the shims that fit under the
cam chain sprocket off, since I was afraid that the shop might lose them.
Well, I had no luck getting those keys out, and didn't have time to really get
down to cases with them, but I did munge them up to where I definitely want new
ones. Unfortunately, Moss is out of them.
Now, what's the real-world situation with Woodruff keys? Is it

    A) Woodruff keys are completely application specific: These are special
Whitworth hardened and annointed ones, built to a high standard by aged British
craftsmen in the picturesque village of Woodruff-on-Stoat.

                or

     B) There are really only five sizes of woodruff key in the whole world.
They can be purchased at any grocery store.

                             ?
