Their catalog has many parts and tools that are generically useful for our
cars, especially plumbing and repair.

Materials- tubing, special bolts etc. Good return policies and good prices.
A wonderful catalog, $5 refundable with first order, that is very informational
as well as listing all of their stuff. - Paul Stafford pauls@sr.hp.com

There was a British sports car junkyard in Hortonville (or Horton) Wisconsin
several years ago that my Dad and I visited frequently. The junkyard has since
located to a new city, but when it was at Hortonville it was loaded with MGBs
TR7s and many other types of British cars. A Brit generally answers the phone.

Lotus Dealer. Although they advertise in reMarque, this appears to be a
regular car dealer. They took on Lotus in 1987. My request for Europa parts
was referred to their Ferrari expert, who just sent a fax to Lotus USA, as they
do not stock parts for older cars. - Phil Ethier phile@pwcs.stpaul.gov

I have been to their sales office, ordered parts from them, yelled at them on
the phone, and returned parts to them for credit. My basic advice would be to
only order parts you are 100% sure you want and know the exact type/part no.
For example, they are very liberal with their part number for BJ8 brakes and
consequently they don't distinguish between Phase I and Phase II BJ8s. They
won't pay shipping when they have made an error and are generally
confrontational on the phone. They will not under circumstances give you a
refund even if they made a shipping error. So ask carefully about whether it
is original or a repro and don't expect to be able to return it. Read their
sales policy carefully - Rod Barman rodb@salmon.ee.ubc.ca
The MGA catalog page listing electrical parts (coils, points, regulators) has
the word LUCAS in large letters but the parts you receive will probably not be
Lucas parts. People restoring cars usually WANT Lucas parts. They once
charged me 5% for paying with my VISA card. VISA has since told me that is in
violation of their contract and S-F could lose their VISA contract for it. S-F
has a NO REFUND policy. Instead, they give an in-house credit (must be applied
to a subsequent order with them). These credits tend to get all messed up and
after several phone calls (during which they agreed with my calculations but
never got it straight on paper). They still owe me but I'll never collect
because I'll never do business with them. I'm no longer angry, just wiser and
anxious to share the facts. Scarborough-Faire once had the British Motor
Industry Heritage Trust approval for part quality and service. This
distinction was rescinded a few years back. S-F had to print new catalogs
without the BMIHT logo. Moss, TRF and Vic-Brit are all approved and display
the logo. I attend quite a few Brit car events and have heard the same
compliants where ever I go.
