Sorry, this didn't get out the first time and yesterday I was away from my
desk.........Bill

I just got off the phone with the fellow who performed the work. The short
answer is it can be done and it can be made to work. The question is, do you
really want to do it? It was not easy and this guy never wants to do it again.
He was really hesitant to give me any specifics. He did use the Datsun bell
housing (the problem was making a backing plate to bolt to) and the Triumph
drive shaft. The hard part was the hydraulics of the clutch hook-up and keeping
that away from the exhaust (on the Datsun, these are on opposite sides).
So it can be done, but it is not just your bolt-on switcheroo. The original
Triumph box was just too weak for this guy's engine and he just wanted to
finish a race, so he went to the trouble. But the mechanic said it was a
nightmarish job and he could never get back the amount of hours he put into it,
etc.....Sorry, guys............Bill
