Those are the cars I was refering to. The dates you have are probably the
introduction dated. They were made for several years(as was everything in 
post was G.B.) When I was first married, I has an A40 sport roadster. If
I remember right it was a '52. It had a two SUs and a nice looking aluminum 
body. 
We stripped all the paint off to bare aluminum. One night going over Hwy17 to
Santa Cruz, it pulled a wheel off right over the studs........
..traded it for a good running Plymouth.   /dickn
