Sorry to hear that, Kevin!  I would propose, and my wife will agree, that
my Spitfire was one of the main reasons she maintained interest in me!  I
fondly remember the sight of her shiny red hair tossing back as she drove
it for the first time (she had already proved to me her driving prowess). 
She came to love it almost as much as I did. Four months later I proposed
to her in that car; she said no, and then one month later she proposed to
ME in the Spit!  We still laugh about the times we had to push it off the
road and raise the bonnet.  Something coerced me into selling it a few 
years back (an evil spirit, I suppose) -- I later repented and tried to buy 
it back twice, but the new owner had a car that had been meticulously 
maintained and couldn't be convinced to part with it.
