Regarding Vintage racing: Only real serious drivers are usually the
first few cars. The rest seem content for driving-at-speed to remove
carbon buildup. There is just enough competition(?) among "don't care"
drivers to make it interesting to spectators.
I don't think you need to regulate vintage racing as
an official race. There's no real significance to "winning" a race
where most are not really trying. Those that really try are either
too dumb to realize this, and/or too rich to care about the cars they
own. In either event, I hope they smarten up before wrecking good cars.
